Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a front-line housing support role in Canada. You will act as the main contact for tenants, handle inquiries, and conduct wellness checks, while ensuring a respectful and supportive environment.

Qualifications include Grade 12 or equivalent, with a 2-year college as a strong asset; CPR/First Aid and background checks are preferred. The role involves shifts in a 24/7 supportive housing facility.

Qualifications

• Education, Qualifications, and Certifications: Grade 12 education or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a 2-year Community College program will be a strong asset.
• Criminal Record Check, CPR, First Aid, and Non-Violent Crisis Training an asset.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the main point of contact for all tenants.
• Handles inquiries and complaints from tenants.
• Conducts wellness checks where required.
• Maintains availability for personal, practical, and moral support.
• Answers the program department telephone and records/remits messages.
• Liaises with referral sources and other external agencies as needed, provides referrals for tenants where required.
• Ensures ongoing monitoring of policies.
• Performs other assigned job-related duties as required to ensure a safe and secure environment.
