Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Supportive Housing Front Desk Worker to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for residents in a 24/7 facility. You will respond to tenant inquiries and complaints, perform wellness checks, and maintain accurate logs and incident reports.

You will liaise with external agencies, assist with referrals, and support program supervision while upholding the organization's standards and tenant-focused service. Strong communication and empathy are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a 2-year Community College program will be a strong asset.
• Criminal Record Check is required; CPR, First Aid and Non-Violent Crisis Training an asset.
• Computer ability and willingness to undergo background checks as required by The Salvation Army.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the main point of contact for all tenants.
• Handles inquiries and complaints from tenants.
• Conducts wellness checks where required.
• Maintains logs and completes incident reports.
• Liaises with referral sources and other external agencies as needed; provides referrals for tenants as required.
• Ensures ongoing monitoring of policies and performs other assigned duties to ensure a safe environment.
