Job summary

Smitty’s Furniture in Hanover, ON is seeking a part-time Sales Associate / Reception to be the friendly first contact for customers at both the unloading dock store and the main showroom. You will greet customers, answer calls, assist with product knowledge, and coordinate with the warehouse for pickups, while supporting sales staff to ensure a smooth shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of high-school and/or college certificate or diploma.
• 1+ years of experience in customer service, sales or reception.
• Excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written).
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
• Basic math and accounting skills.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office products.
• Demonstrated strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers at both unloading dock and showroom and provide courteous service.
• Learn about new products and assist with tagging, pricing and restocking.
• Coordinate with warehouse and shipping for customer pickups and payments in POS system.
• Provide customers with order updates and process payments upon request.
• Maintain smooth in-store traffic flow and support sales staff as needed.
