Job summary

Michaels in Ottawa, Train Yards is seeking a Store Leader to guide a team of framers, build strong customer relationships and deliver custom framing solutions.

You will drive framing sales, coach selling behaviors, oversee inventory and safety, serve as Manager on Duty, and partner with the Store Manager to meet KPIs while delivering memorable shopping experiences. This role requires hands-on leadership in a busy retail environment with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Previous custom framing experience preferred.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Experience leading a sales team preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of framers to build customer relationships and framing solutions.
• Drive custom framing sales and ensure on-time delivery.
• Assist customers in creating memorable framing solutions for their art.
• Manage store operations including inventory, safety, and KPI achievement.
• Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) and support interviewing, onboarding and training.
