Job summary

Extol Developments, based in Regina, SK, is seeking an apprentice carpenter to join our construction team. The role focuses on reading blueprints, laying out flooring and fixtures, and assembling cabinets with precision in residential and commercial projects.

You will carve, cut, and fit materials while maintaining strict safety standards, working under deadlines, and delivering quality work on time. A self-motivated, detail-oriented candidate with at least two years of apprenticeship exposure

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years as an apprentice carpenter.
• Experience as a trade carpenter with hands-on carpentry materials.
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
• Knowledge of and adherence to safety guidelines while on shift.
• 24/7 vision (20/20) safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand job requirements.
• Lay out flooring, roofing, or drywall to ensure they are level and compatible.
• Carve and assemble cabinets, shelves, and other items as required, and install them where designated.
• Take precise measurements to calculate the size and amount of material needed.
• Build scaffolding and other construction structures.
• Cut, shape and smooth lumber, fiberglass, and other material according to measurements.
• Inspect the workspace for safety and job feasibility.

Characteristics Needed to Succeed:
