Job summary

Great Little Box Company on Mitchell Island in Richmond, BC is hiring a Forklift Driver for the morning shift. The role operates an electric sit-down counterbalance forklift, picks and stages orders, loads/unloads trucks, and supports a safety-focused warehouse.

You need a current forklift cert class 1/4/5 and 3–5 years in a fast-paced warehouse; high-reach experience is a plus. The team offers profit sharing, health and dental, vacation, volunteering time off, RRSP, and education support.

Qualifications

• Current forklift certificate class 1, 4, 5 required.
• 3-5 years of forklift experience required.
• Certification with high-reach forklift is considered an asset.
• Effective communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work well with people in a team environment.
• Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, as this position requires lifting, bending, and moderate physical exertion.
• Ability to multi-task
• A positive ‘can do’ attitude

Responsibilities

• Pick and stage orders in the warehouse
• Load and unload trucks

• Use barcode system to locate product in the warehouse
• Unload production lines and put away product in the warehouse as required
• Ensure all equipment is operating properly and inform appropriate personnel of any problems
• Count inventory as required
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating a forklift
• Comfortable working outside from time to time sorting pallets and bringing pallets to production
• Other general warehouse duties as required

About the Role:

We are looking to welcome an energetic self-starter, mechanically inclined and detail-oriented Forklift Driver to join our Logistics team. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a team-oriented environment and embraces our Continuous Improvement working culture. We are hiring at our Mitchell Island location at 11300 Twigg Place for the morning shift:

• Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm

Compensation

The typical hiring range for this position is $20.50-23.00/hour depending on level of experience.
