Job summary

Techo-Bloc Inc. is seeking a hands-on forklift operator to support night shift operations in Quebec. The role involves handling materials, inspecting equipment, and ensuring safety standards are met as you move products along the production line.

The position emphasizes adherence to priorities set by the supervisor, safe forklift operation, and diligent cleaning and maintenance of machinery. A valid forklift competency card and at least 1 year of sit-down forklift experience are required.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift operator's competency card or to be renewed.
• Experience as a sit-down forklift operator (1 year minimum)
• Self-motivated and proactive
• Punctual person
• Ensure compliance with work safety standards and instructions

Responsibilities

• Review work completed on previous shift and work to be completed according to priorities established by the production supervisor
• Handle products carefully to bring them to the storage line
• Transport various materials and/or supplies for operational needs
• Inspect machinery before the start of each shift and change operators as required
• Ensure the cleaning of the premises and equipment to keep the work environment clean and safe
• Notify the production supervisor of any mechanical breakdowns
• Operate the forklift safely and meticulously
• Be very vigilant in the method of driving, in order to avoid accidents and/or overturns
• Use the forklift according to its capabilities and limits
• Be buckled up at all times
• Responsible for cleaning the interior and exterior of the machine
• Comply with company health and safety rules
• All other related duties

Job Description

$23.07 to $23.61/hour

Night shift:Monday to Thursday, 5:30 PM to 5:30 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Review work completed on previous shift and work to be completed according to priorities established by the production supervisor;

This is a physically demanding position. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (23kg). Manual dexterity, teamwork, hand-eye co-ordination and a combination of sitting, standing and walking required.
