FOOD SERVICE WORKER

Food Service Worker | Support Services

About the Job

Food Service Worker responsibilities include:

  • Portioning and serving meals and beverages within a dining room and/or cafeteria operation.
  • Counting, weighing, and measuring ingredients for food preparation.
  • Washing and peeling vegetables and fruit.
  • Assembling beverages and food items such as tea, coffee, sandwiches, salads, bag lunches, and items for Meals on Wheels.
  • Setting up and delivering meal carts.
  • Cleaning of food service areas.

This is a casual opportunity. Casual employees are not guaranteed hours and may work from 0 to 37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis.

This position involves a rotating schedule that includes day and evening shifts, scheduled from 06:00 to 14:00, 11:00 to 19:00, or 15:30 to 20:00 hours.

Qualifications

Education, Training, and Experience

  • Grade 10 or equivalent education, training, and experience.
  • Food Safe Certificate.
