Job summary

COMPASS GROUP CANADA is seeking a Food Service Worker to prepare, present, and serve meals while ensuring quality and presentation standards. You will perform prep work, handle food storage, set up items for sale, maintain cleanliness, and assist in safe serving practices.

The role requires FoodSafe Level 1 certification, strong time management, independence or teamwork, and good English communication. Experience in healthcare, hotel, restaurant or fast food is an asset.

Qualifications

• Must have FoodSafe Level 1 Certification.
• Cash register familiarity is an asset.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to handle heavy workload.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good command of English, both verbal and written.
• Healthcare/hospitality experience is an asset.
• Physically able to carry out duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, wash, peel, cut and seed fruits and vegetables.
• Carry pans, kettles and trays of food to/from stations, stove and fridge.
• Store food following wrapping, dating and rotation procedures.
• Set up items for purchase and perform general cleaning.
• Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Ensure proper temperatures and portion control according to recipes.
• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner and follow safety requirements.
