Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Food Service Worker to prepare, present and serve meals while maintaining high food quality and presentation in a healthcare or hospitality setting. You will perform prep work, assist with daily setup and ensure safe, sanitary operations.

Qualifications

• FoodSafe Level 1 Certification.
• Familiar with cash register is an asset.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good command of English, verbal and written.
• Previous food service experience in healthcare, hotel, restaurant or fast food is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, present and serve meals, ensuring quality and presentation.
• Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Carry items to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator safely.
• Store food with proper dating and rotation procedures.
• Set up items for daily purchase and operate cash register as needed.
• Maintain sanitation and safety compliance in all areas.
• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner and address concerns.
• Assist with general cleaning and stocking of supplies.
