Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to prepare, present and serve meals while upholding high quality, proper portion control and food safety standards across our retail and healthcare environments.

You will perform prep tasks (washing, peeling, cutting), set up daily items for purchase, cash out customers, maintain clean work areas and assist guests with a friendly, efficient service approach.

Qualifications

• Must have FoodSafe Level 1 Certification.
• Experience with cash registers is an asset.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good command of English, verbal and written.
• Previous food service experience in healthcare, hotel, restaurant or fast food is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, wash, peel, cut and seed fruits and vegetables.
• Transport food and supplies between stations while following safety standards.
• Store food with proper dating, wrapping and rotation.
• Set up items for purchase daily.
• Clean and dispose of waste; maintain sanitation.
• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner; follow steps of service.
• Assist in cashiering and line serving.
