Job summary

Aramark Canada is seeking a Cook for the Food Service Operation at Résidence l Amitié in Montréal. The role involves assisting the Chef, cooking and finishing menu items, and participating in meal service. Immediate start and full-time, with scheduling to be discussed and primarily Thursday to Sunday.

We look for 2–3 years in food service, strong leadership, team work, and a customer‑oriented attitude. MAPAQ hygiene certification is an asset; bilingualism is a plus.

POSITION: Cook

LOCATION: Résidence l Amitié (9167 Gouin Boulevard, Montréal, QC H4K 2E2)

SALARY: $25.00/hour

SCHEDULE / HOURS: To be discussed during the interview. Must be available from Thursday to Sunday. Full-time position.

START DATE: Immediately

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef in the preparation of the daily menu
• Cook and finish menu items
• Participating in meal service
• Catering preparation experience is an asset
• Demonstrate creativity while meeting client requirements
• Ensure the quality of food services and customer satisfaction
• Optimize food and labor costs
• Ensure the implementation of programs related to management, health, food hygiene, and food safety
• Monitor and maintain service quality and customer satisfaction
• Participate in the monthly inventory

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years of experience in food service or the restaurant industry is an asset
• Strong leadership skills
• Demonstrate diligence and a methodical approach in daily work
• MAPAQ Food Hygiene and Sanitation Certificate is an asset
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to work independently
• Positive attitude
• Customer service oriented
• Bilingualism is an asset, as some of our customers are English-speaking
