Job summary

Aramark in Montreal is seeking a Cook to support daily menu preparation and food service at Résidence l’Amitié. This full-time role requires availability Thursday through Sunday and begins immediately, with opportunities for professional growth within a supportive hospitality team.

The successful candidate will assist the Chef, cook and finish menu items, participate in meal service, and ensure high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction while helping manage costs.

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years of experience in food service or restaurant work is an asset.
• Strong leadership and the ability to guide a team during service.
• Detail oriented with a methodical approach to daily tasks.
• MAPAQ hygiene and sanitation certification is an asset.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently when needed.
• Positive attitude and customer-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef in the preparation of the daily menu.
• Cook and finish menu items during service.
• Participate in meal service to guests.
• Assist with catering preparation when needed.
• Show creativity while meeting client requirements.
• Ensure food quality and customer satisfaction.
• Help optimize food and labor costs as appropriate.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the Chef in the preparation of the daily menu
• Cook and finish menu items
• Participating in meal service
• Catering preparation experience is an asset
• Demonstrate creativity while meeting client requirements
• Ensure the quality of food services and customer satisfaction
• Optimize food and labor costs
• Ensure the implementation of programs related to management, health, food hygiene, and food safety
• Monitor and maintain service quality and customer satisfaction
• Participate in the monthly inventory

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 to 3 years of experience in food service or the restaurant industry is an asset
