Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking a Store Associate in Edmonton to lead Food & Consumables workflow and support the sales floor with customer service, merchandising, and team coordination.

The role emphasizes delivering friendly service, promoting products, and ensuring clean, well-stocked departments. You will train associates, run daily huddles, and help manage schedules while maintaining safety and policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Providing excellent Customer Service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues and referring concerns where appropriate.
• Assists in providing direction and the co-ordination of task completion as per communicated priorities from the Food & Consumables Coach and the Store Management Team.
• Assesses the overall presentation of Food & Consumables Departments and appearance, noting deficiencies for corrective action and executing merchandising display changes where required.
• Ensure strong communication with associates, leads the daily Team Huddle at the start of each shift, and provide the team with updates, set goals, and track productivity.
• Tours assigned areas with the Coach and team associates to validate and identify training opportunities. Develops associates through teaching and training and provides feedback as needed.
