Job summary

The Stirling Grill & Lounge is seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor to oversee the restaurant team, including servers, bartenders, junior servers and hosts. You will lead service standards, coaching staff and ensuring exceptional guest experiences across dining room, patio and lounge areas.

Key duties include managing reservations, floor plans, seating, onboarding and training, and handling guest issues with professionalism to maintain high service levels.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the dining room, table settings, chairs, and floors to ensure cleanliness, safety, and checking for maintenance issues.
• Manage the guest reservation system.
• Set out floor plans for all areas, including the dining room, patio, and lounge areas.
• Welcome guests to the Stirling Grill & Lounge and assist with seating guests.
• Anticipate guests’ needs and ensuring that service meets and exceeds guests’ expectations to ensure a pleasant and memorable dining experience.
• Manage guest issues and concerns professionally, taking immediate action to rectify the situation, if possible.
• Manage staffing levels, as required.
• Assist with the on-boarding of new staff.
• Train new staff in service standards, menu items, use of the POS system, and up-selling.
• Continuous coaching and training food service and bar staff.
• Handle opening and closing procedures at the restaurant when acting as manager on duty.
• Ensure side work is completed every day and dining room supplies are stocked, reporting any supply shortages to the Restaurant Manager.
• Maintain communication with and support the Assistant Restaurant Manager.
• Ensure that all hotel standards and policies are enforced regarding grooming, cell phone usage, etc.

Job description

The Food & Beverage Supervisor in the Stirling Grill & Lounge is responsible for supervising the restaurant and restaurant staff, including Servers, Bartenders, Junior Servers, and Hosts. The Food & Beverage Supervisor provides leadership, direction, and guidance to the team, ensuring the highest level of customer service is being maintained in all areas of the restaurant and on the patio.
