Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Loss Prevention Officer in Ontario to help prevent shoplifting, fraud, vandalism and other offenses. You will work on the sales floor, monitor customers and merchandise, and intervene when necessary.

The role is available in part-time and full-time capacities with evening and weekend shifts; a valid Security Guard License and at least 1 year of loss prevention experience are required. Having a car is a strong asset.

Qualifications

• Valid Security Guard License.
• Minimum 1 year loss prevention experience.
• Availability for part-time daytime and evening shifts.
• Good judgment and autonomy.
• Strong observation skills and sense of responsibility.
• Ability to react quickly in emergency situations.
• Having a car is considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the sales floor to monitor for shoplifting, fraud, vandalism, or other offenses.
• Monitor and detect to ensure all merchandise leaving the store has been paid for.
• Intervene and apprehend customers attempting to leave the store with unpaid merchandise.
• Conduct arrests.
• Write daily and incident reports with rigor and professionalism.
• Testify in court when required.
