Job summary

Great Wolf Lodge in Niagara Falls is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain carpets and flooring and assist the Public Area Team with special projects throughout the resort. You will be responsible for cleaning, spot removal, and ensuring high standards of cleanliness in guest areas and public spaces.

The role requires comfortable handling of cleaning chemicals, adherence to Kaizen procedures, and a willingness to work flexible shifts including evenings.

Qualifications

  • Able to perform physical tasks for long shifts including lifting and bending.
  • Strong attention to detail in cleaning and floor maintenance.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills when interacting with guests.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain carpets and flooring throughout the resort.
  • Support the Public Area Team on special projects across the Lodge.
  • Perform pile lifting, vacuuming, spot removal, and floor cleaning in all areas.
  • Close with an open mentality and keep areas in like-new condition and website ready.
  • Greet guests and provide friendly, professional service.
  • Follow all Kaizen processes and safety guidelines for chemicals and equipment.
  • Work flexible shifts, including days and up to two evenings per week.

Job description

Great Wolf Lodge, Niagara Falls is Canada’s largest family indoor water park resort. Our little log cabin has theme suites, amazing attractions, fun daily events and activities, and delicious dining options. It’s a year-round world of play!

The Floor Technician maintains all carpets and flooring throughout the resort and supports the Public Area Team on special projects across the Lodge.

Team
  • Willingness to accept the most effective role.
  • Complete daily duties following Kaizen processes and procedures.
  • Work flexible shifts, including days and up to two evenings per week.
  • Use chemicals and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Perform pile lifting, vacuuming, spot removal, and floor cleaning in all resort areas, including public spaces, stairwells, and guest rooms.
  • Close with an open mentality.
  • Keep all areas in like-new condition and website ready.
Guest
  • Ensure guests are greeted and acknowledged consistently, adhering to the 10/5 Rule.
  • Interact with guests frequently and demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
  • Perform occasional spot removal of bodily fluids as needed.
  • Follow all HotSOS guidelines.
  • Work efficiently to complete daily tasks and uphold the cleanliness and integrity of all flooring.
  • Communicate with guests in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Protecting company assets by adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Familiar with housekeeping, including sanitation, laundry operations, and guest service.
  • Able to work independently without assistance from other Pack Members.
Physical Requirements
  • Capable of walking, standing, crawling, bending, stretching, twisting, and climbing for the duration of your shift.
  • Capable of kneeling, crouching, lifting up to and including above your head, and repetitive movements.
  • Dexterity of the hands with ability to squeeze hands, twist and rotate wrists and elbows.
  • Lifting up to 30lbs
  • Occasionally lifting above the head.
  • Ability to hear for communication with guests, has spatial perception.
  • Visual acuity to see near and far.
  • Capable of working in a hot and humid environment
  • Climbing up to 4 flights of stairs.
  • Working with cleaning supplies containing chemicals.
  • Working at a fast pace.
Additional Requirements

Newly hired Pack Members must submit a completed police clearance to Human Resources. Employment may begin before the results are received, based on the Pack Member’s confirmation that they have no unpardoned criminal convictions. If the clearance reveals a conviction, the employer may terminate employment on a case-by-case basis, providing only the minimum notice required under the Employment Standards Act, 2000, with no additional notice or compensation.
