Job summary

The City of Toronto is seeking a Project Manager for Fleet Safety Operations & Continuous Improvement. You will lead safety projects, oversee collision management, and drive continuous improvements across a large municipal fleet.

Ideal candidates have extensive project management experience in fleet safety, strong leadership, and the ability to analyze data to improve safety performance. This role is full-time and on-site with a competitive salary.

Qualifications

Extensive project management experience with multiple complex initiatives.
Strong fleet safety and transportation operations knowledge.
Experience leading professional, technical and administrative staff.
Experience managing collision management processes and investigations.
Experience with CVOR compliance and maintenance programs.
Experience using fleet telematics and data-driven systems for risk insights.
Ability to develop policies, procedures and continuous improvements.
Ability to analyze large safety/operational data and create KPIs.
Knowledge of relevant fleet safety legislation and regulations.
Excellent written and oral communication for senior management.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage fleet safety projects from planning through implementation.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety programs.
Evaluate new fleet safety technologies and practices.
Plan Fleet Safety Operations work and coordinate resources.
Provide leadership to staff supporting collision management and operations.
Establish service expectations and performance measures.
Oversee the collision management function including investigations and reporting.
Monitor CVOR maintenance program and address deficiencies.
Lead telematics safety initiatives and rule enforcement.
Analyze data to identify trends and develop KPIs for results.
Develop and implement safety policies and risk controls.
Prepare reports and recommendations for Fleet Services leadership.
Advise on fleet safety, CVOR, telematics, and driver risk matters.
Engage stakeholders and represent Fleet Services on committees.
