Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in vehicle fleet management or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of supervision experience.
• Strong knowledge of fleet management tech and best practices.
• Experience leading a maintenance team and scheduling.
• Knowledge of Federal and Provincial/State regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Operations to meet equipment requirements and align fleet/resources with project schedules.
• Monitor fleet utilization and maintain up-to-date equipment inventories.
• Lead maintenance team for timely repairs and preventative servicing; review major repairs with Fleet Director.
• Audit daily pre-trip inspections to ensure safety standards.
• Analyze vehicle condition and performance; recommend replacements or upgrades.
• Ensure shops/yards comply with OHSA/OH&S standards and maintain a safe environment.
• Maintain familiarity with FMCSA/DOT regulations.
• Coordinate logistics and manage costs for moving vehicles between sites.
• Oversee vendor performance; review pricing and suitability for value.
• Oversee Tool Lead/Tool Coordinator inspections and inventories.
• Uphold Forbes Bros. policies, procedures, and core values.
• Perform additional duties as required to support goals.
• Ensure vehicle documentation is correct for each jurisdiction.
• Ensure fleet meets regulatory requirements.
