Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Windsor, Ontario, is seeking a Fleet Manager to supervise maintenance operations, optimize fleet performance, and ensure safety standards across our modern fleet. You will lead the maintenance team, oversee preventive maintenance, and analyze fleet data for improvements.

A relevant degree or 3 years of experience, a mechanic’s license, and strong communication skills are required. Knowledge of maintenance budgeting and contractor oversight is a plus.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education or equivalent experience required.
• Experience in fleet maintenance management and budgeting preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance team, set goals, and manage performance.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and annual inspections.
• Analyze fleet data and recommend improvements or purchases.
• Oversee subcontractor repairs and liaise with District Manager.
• Develop and administer the maintenance budget and cost controls.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
• Lead health and safety initiatives and reporting.
• Coordinate staff training and development.
