Job summary

Onni is seeking a dedicated Flagger to manage traffic in Vancouver construction zones year-round. You will read plans, direct vehicle flow, and ensure safety for workers and drivers while delivering responsive customer service.

Responsibilities include auditing site traffic management, signaling with flags, and maintaining equipment in good working order in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Traffic Management Manual.
• Valid TCP Certificate.
• Outdoor work at construction sites in various weather conditions.
• Ability to read and follow traffic control plans.
• Stamina for long periods of standing and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Commitment to safety and customer service.

• Reads and manages traffic management plans.
• Performs traffic management field audits.
• Distributes traffic signs and markers along site in designated patterns.
• Controls traffic with signs, hand signals, and flags.

• Informs drivers of detour routes through sites.
• Provides high level of customer service with on-time results.
• Keeps equipment organized and in working order.

There is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to join the construction team as a Flagger. As a Traffic Control professional, you will be responsible for providing traffic control in Vancouver work zones year-round. Onni will provide you with the training and knowledge needed to ensure regulations and procedures are properly carried out.

What Will You Do?

• Controls movement of vehicular traffic through construction projects.
• Ability to read and manage traffic management plans.
• Ability to perform traffic management field audits.
• Distributes traffic control signs and markers along site in designated pattern.
• Controls movement of traffic through site, using sign, hand, and flag signals.
• Warns construction workers when approaching vehicle fails to heed signals to prevent accident and injury to workers.
• Informs drivers of detour routes through construction sites.
• Provide the highest level of customer service to all customers. Includes on-time arrival and well managed work zones.
• Keep equipment well organized and in working order.
• Other Duties not listed may apply.

• Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required.
