Job summary

Onni Group in Coquitlam is seeking a Flagger to manage traffic in work zones year-round. You will read and implement traffic management plans, guide vehicles and pedestrians, and support a safe, efficient work site.

This role requires at least 1 year of relevant experience, a valid TCP certificate, and knowledge of the 2015 Traffic Management Manual. Outdoors work and manual lifting up to 50 pounds are part of day-to-day duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of the 2015 Traffic Management Manual.
• Valid TCP Certificate.
• Work is outdoors at construction sites in varying weather.
• Reaching above shoulder heights, lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Controls movement of vehicular traffic through construction projects.
• Read and manage traffic management plans.
• Perform traffic management field audits.
• Distribute traffic control signs and markers along site in designated pattern.
• Control traffic through site using signals (signs, hand, flag).
• Warn workers when drivers do not heed signals to prevent accidents.
• Inform drivers of detour routes through construction sites.
• Provide highest level of customer service with on-time arrivals and well-managed zones.
• Keep equipment organized and in working order.
• Other duties as assigned.

As a Traffic Control professional, you will be responsible for providing traffic control in Coquitlam work zones year-round. Onni will provide you with the training and knowledge needed to ensure regulations and procedures are properly carried out.

What Will You Do?

• Controls movement of vehicular traffic through construction projects.
