Job summary

Onni Group seeks a Junior Civil Project Manager to drive civil construction projects from initiation to closure. You will manage budgets, subcontractors, and site operations in a hands-on, team-focused role within a fast-paced environment.

Minimum 5 years in Civil/Infrastructure, with direct PM experience. Asset: heavy civil project oversight and related education/certification. Vancouver presence required; Onni’s growing North American operations support your career growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Civil and Infrastructure construction experience.
• Direct work experience in a project management capacity.
• Experience overseeing large Heavy Civil and Infrastructure projects is an asset.
• PM education or certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of Civil and Infrastructure projects.
• Develop and maintain project schedules; track critical path.
• Oversee tendering, contract administration.
• Define project scope for subcontractors and consultants.
• Manage project resources and documentation.
• Ensure projects meet budget, schedule, and drawings specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and overall closure of Civil and Infrastructure projects.
• Align projects with Onni's high standards, and report to management
• Scheduling: Developing, tracking, and maintaining project schedules for Civil and Infrastructure projects.
• Reviewing critical path, and quickly adapting or accelerating projects to meet deadlines
• Reporting, and updating directors of project schedule.
• Management and Leadership: Oversee tendering process and contract administration.
• Overall planning and defining of project scope for all subcontractors, and consultants.
• Project resource allocation from internal and external resources.
• Project documentation, communication, and reporting.
• Cost estimating, and budget development in collaboration with senior directors.
• Quality Control: Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential issues, and devise contingency plans if required
• Ongoing troubleshooting and problem solving
• Oversee project team including Project Coordinators, Superintendents and Project Consultants
• Ensure project is built on budget, on schedule and within drawing specifications.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Minimum 5 years of Civil and Infrastructure construction related experience
• Direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution
• Experience overseeing large Heavy Civil and Infrastructure projects considered an asset
• Certificate, University degree, or college diploma would be an asset
• Project Management education an asset

Salary Range

• $90,000 - $120,000 annually
