Are you passionate about fitness and looking for a flexible opportunity that fits around your existing school or work schedule? The City of Leduc is currently hiring
Casual Fitness Attendants to support weekend operations at the Leduc Recreation Centre. This is a great opportunity for those looking to pick up extra hours on evenings and weekends while contributing to a positive and energetic environment.
What is the Opportunity?
This casual role reports to the Fitness Centre Supervisor and is ideal for individuals looking for part-time, flexible weekend shifts. Shifts are typically 4–5 hours in length, with
priority given to Saturday evenings (5:15 – 9:15 p.m.), and occasional additional weekend shifts available. You’ll provide a welcoming, supportive experience for patrons, promote safe equipment use, and ensure high standards of cleanliness, engagement, and customer service.
What will you do?
As a Fitness Center Attendant, You Will
- Provide exceptional customer service by welcoming patrons and assisting with their fitness goals
- Educate members on the proper use of fitness equipment and ensure safety standards are met
- Perform routine equipment checks and preventative maintenance to ensure a safe and clean environment
- Oversee the fitness center desk, providing wristbands to members, and checking membership status.
- Stay informed about group fitness class schedules and assist participants as needed
- Build positive and lasting relationships with fitness customers to encourage their success and satisfaction
- Actively contribute to a positive, energetic, and motivating atmosphere within the fitness center
Who you are?
The ideal candidate is passionate about fitness and enjoys engaging with people in a supportive and professional manner. You have:
- A High School Diploma
- Preferably 18 years of age or older
- Fitness certifications or accreditations (e.g. personal training, group fitness), is an asset
- Standard First Aid certification (required)
- Experience working in a recreation or fitness facility, preferably with municipal or customer service experience, is an asset
