As part of Teledyne FLIR Integrated Imaging Solutions, you'll work at the intersection of embedded processors, FPGAs, and image sensors, helping deliver reliable, high-performance machine vision cameras for automation, robotics, inspection, and intelligent transportation applications.

You'll collaborate with experienced firmware, FPGA, hardware, and software engineers while developing the low-level technology that enables customers to capture and process critical imaging data.

What you'll do
  • Design and maintain embedded firmware in C for industrial camera platforms.
  • Develop low-level drivers, interrupt handling, DMA paths, boot processes, and board support functionality.
  • Implement processor-to-FPGA interfaces, register maps, and control mechanisms.
  • Contribute to machine vision interface stacks including GenICam, GigE Vision, USB3 Vision, and CoaXPress.
  • Optimize high-throughput data streaming, synchronization, and timing performance.
  • Support board bring-up, hardware debugging, and root-cause analysis.
  • Investigate customer-reported issues and deliver verified fixes.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, testing, and documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with FPGA, hardware, software, and test engineering teams.
What you need
  • Required: Strong embedded C development skills; working knowledge of C++.
  • Required: Experience with RTOS and/or bare-metal embedded systems.
  • Required: Understanding of interrupts, DMA, low-level drivers, and resource-constrained systems.
  • Required: Hardware debugging using schematics, datasheets, and oscilloscopes.
  • Required: Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Required: 3+ years (Master's), 5+ years (Bachelor's), PhD, or equivalent experience.
  • Required: Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Advantage: FPGA interfacing, embedded Linux, machine vision protocols, image processing, Python/Bash scripting, or VHDL/Verilog familiarity.
What we offer
  • Meaningful work on advanced machine vision technology.
  • Close collaboration across firmware, FPGA, hardware, and software disciplines.
  • Exposure to complete product development from bring-up through release.
  • Technical growth within an experienced engineering team.
  • Stable environment backed by Teledyne Technologies.
  • On-site collaboration where products are designed and manufactured together.
