Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Senior FPGA Engineer to join a team delivering machine vision camera systems. You will own FPGA subsystems from concept to production, developing RTL for sensor interfaces and image pipelines, while optimizing for area, power, and cost.

You will collaborate with firmware, hardware, sensor, test, and product teams, mentor juniors, and help shape platform architecture in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of FPGA development using VHDL and/or Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Experience with simulation, synthesis, timing closure, and FPGA implementation.
• Ability to optimize designs for small, cost-effective FPGA devices.
• Experience with hardware bring-up and lab debugging using FPGA test equipment.
• Scripting experience with Tcl and/or Python.

Responsibilities

• Own FPGA subsystem design from requirements through production release.

• Optimize designs for area, resource utilization, power, and cost.
• Create constraints, perform timing closure, and analyze clock domain crossings.

• Lead hardware bring-up and debug of prototype boards and interfaces.
• Investigate production and field issues and drive root-cause resolution.
• Collaborate with firmware, hardware, sensor, test, and product teams.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to FPGA development processes and reuse.
