Job summary
Jensen Hughes Inc. seeks a Design Services Manager to lead the East Canada Fire & Life Safety design team, ideally in Ottawa.
You will manage 5-10 designers/engineers, oversee fire protection system design, BIM coordination, and client relations while driving delivery, quality, and growth across commercial, industrial, and mission-critical sectors. You will collaborate with operations, engineering, and business development to expand design services in East Canada, mentor staff, and uphold codes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline; licensure in Ontario preferred.
- P.Eng. designation or eligibility is required.
- 8+ years in fire protection design, consulting or related technical services.
- 3+ years leading teams, projects, or technical design groups.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM coordination.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of 5-10 designers/engineers.
- Provide technical oversight for fire protection design and coordination.
- Oversee AutoCAD and Revit/BIM workflows and QA processes.
- Develop client relationships and support business development.
- Manage project workloads, budgets, and milestones.
