Job summary

Johnson Controls Canada is seeking an Technician to perform routine inspections, testing, service and preventive maintenance on Fire Alarm and life safety systems. You will work with low voltage wiring, complete service documentation, and follow a strict inspection schedule while providing support and training to other staff.

The role requires physical capability to handle equipment up to 40 lbs, and flexibility to work weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, testing, service and preventative maintenance on Fire Alarm and life safety systems.
• Work with low voltage wiring and related devices for operation of low voltage equipment.
• Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding via laptop or paper.
• Follow and maintain a structured inspection schedule.
• Input, retrieve and archive inspection documents.
• Make repairs with minimal supervision.
• Provide technical training to inspectors and trainees.
• Complete assigned inspections on time.
