Our client is a major organization within the energy sector, recognized for its leadership in innovation, infrastructure, and environmental stewardship. They are seeking a skilled Financial Specialist to join their Revenue Reporting team for a 12-month contract, focusing on enhancing reporting processes, driving data analytics, and leading business improvement initiatives.

• Hybrid work model: 2 days per week in the Downtown Vancouver office.

Responsibilities:

• Support process optimization initiatives within the Revenue Reporting team.
• Design and deliver data analytics solutions using Power BI and MS Excel Data Model.
• Extract, analyze, and interpret data from SAP Business Warehouse.
• Create clear, compelling presentations and visual summaries of data insights.
• Lead and contribute to business improvement and change initiatives.
• Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Provide expert financial analysis and advice to internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and internal control standards.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial management and data analytics.
• Expertise in Power BI, MS Excel Data Model, and SAP Business Warehouse.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills to convey financial data effectively.
• Demonstrated success in implementing change and business improvement initiatives.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional-level English communication skills (written and verbal).

Nice to Have:

• Project management experience.
• Background in the utilities or energy industry.
