Job summary

Kawartha Financial Services in Brockville, Ontario, is seeking a Financial Services Representative to support retail lending and mutual funds, helping members achieve their personal financial objectives.

The role includes interviewing members for personal loans, lines of credit and mortgages, adjudicating credit within limits, and providing needs-based advice on budgeting, credit management and retirement planning. Travel to branches in the Northern District as needed.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education would be an asset.
• Minimum two years’ experience in consumer lending.
• Advanced member service and sales skills.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Mutual Funds License preferred or commitment to obtaining within 6 months.
• Willingness to complete additional educational components as required.

Responsibilities

• Take on a dual role in retail lending with a focus on mutual funds, recommending solutions to help members reach financial goals.
• Assess member needs and refer to appropriate service areas as needed.
• Conduct member interviews for personal loans, lines of credit and mortgages and support the full lending process including documentation and payout.
• Adjudicate credit applications within assigned lending limits.
• Provide needs-based financial counselling on budgeting, credit management and retirement planning.
• Establish and maintain strong member relationships through excellent service.
• Travel to and support branches within the Northern District as required.

Hours:37.5 hours per week, Monday to Saturday

Rate of Pay: $46,824.44 - $81,802.76 annually

Compensation:

Compensation for this position is determined by skills, experience, and education. It is aligned with the location's market data, as well as internal equity. Candidates whose qualifications more closely align with the job requirements may be placed higher within the compensation range. As a Financial Services Representative, you will:

• Take on a dual role specializing in retail lending and a focus on mutual funds, recommending solutions which will enable our members to achieve their personal financial objectives.
• Anticipate and determine the needs of members. Transact request or refer the member to the suitable service area.
• Conduct member interviews (personal loans, lines-of-credit and mortgages), and support the full personal lending process; including documentation preparation, credit analysis & payout.
• Adjudicate credit applications that are within assigned lending limits.
• Provide needs-based advice, counselling members on financial matters such as family budgeting, credit management and investment/retirement planning.
• Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with members by providing excellent member service.
• Travel to and support branches within the Northern District on an as-needed basis.

This role may be filled at different levels, the successful candidate will be placed accordingly based on their experience. We welcome applicants with a financial services background who are looking to grow into an advisory role.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education with emphasis in business or financial planning would be an asset
