Job summary

Kawartha Financial Services in Bracebridge, ON is seeking a Financial Services Representative to support retail lending and mutual funds, delivering needs-based advice and excellent member service.

You will assess member needs, process personal loans, lines of credit, and mortgages, and travel to support branches in the Northern District as needed; applicants with a financial services background are encouraged to grow into advisory roles.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education with emphasis in business or financial planning would be an asset.
• A minimum of two years' comprehensive experience in consumer lending.
• Advanced member service and sales skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Mutual Funds License is preferred; or a commitment to obtaining within 6 months of start date.
• Willingness to complete additional educational components as required.

Responsibilities

• Take on a dual role specializing in retail lending and a focus on mutual funds, recommending solutions which will enable our members to achieve their personal financial objectives.
• Anticipate and determine the needs of members. Transact request or refer the member to the suitable service area.
• Conduct member interviews (personal loans, lines-of-credit and mortgages), and support the full personal lending process; including documentation preparation, credit analysis & payout.
• Adjudicate credit applications that are within assigned lending limits.
• Provide needs-based advice, counselling members on financial matters such as family budgeting, credit management and investment/retirement planning.
• Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with members by providing excellent member service.
• Travel to and support branches within the Northern District on an as-needed basis.
