Provides financial and investment planning and advice to deliver solutions in the best interests of the customer. Determines client needs and provides solutions through the sales of managed products and services (e.g., mutual funds, retirement savings plans, and similar products). Provides other solutions indirectly via referrals to business partners.
- Proactively engages with new and existing customers and prospects by providing needs-based assessments to grow loyalty and identify opportunities.
- Implements business development strategies to acquire new business (outbound calling campaigns, cultivating branch referrals).
- Engages customers to grow BMO’s business by reaching out, generating appointments, and building relationships within the community.
- Identifies opportunities during customer conversations to generate referrals for banking and investment products.
- Supports sales and performance targets.
- Develops and implements a relationship management plan tailored to client needs.
- Responds to investment requests, aligning solutions with customer goals, and refers to partners when appropriate.
- Develops solutions and makes recommendations based on business strategy and stakeholder needs.
- Analyzes data and strategic problems to provide insights and recommendations.
- Delivers timely, accurate, and efficient service.
- Introduces clients to investment strategies, setting goals and guiding financial progress.
- Understands customer needs and integrates marketing promotions into conversations for strategic advice.
- Contributes to overall business improvements and enhances customer experience.
- Maintains knowledge of investment products, practices, and trends, and applies this knowledge in customer interactions.
- May work across multiple branches and channels based on market needs.
- Builds effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Protects assets and complies with regulatory, legal, and ethical standards.
- Focus may be on specific business groups.
- Proposes creative solutions and exercises judgment within rules.
- Works mostly independently; broader responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
- Typically 3-5 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree or equivalent.
- Must meet licensing and registration requirements of a Financial Planner in the relevant province or territory.
- Advanced knowledge of the financial industry.
- Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong collaboration and team skills.
- In-depth analytical and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth influence skills.
Salary:
$44,500.00 - $82,500.00
