RBC Financial Advisor role in Surrey, BC focuses on attracting, nurturing, and growing relationships with high-value personal and small business clients. You will provide proactive, professional advice across everyday banking, investments and credit, and collaborate with RBC partners to help clients achieve their goals and life events.

You will engage clients with empathy, guide them through digital self-service when possible, and work with a local team to deliver customized financial solutions.

Qualifications

• Valid Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course).
• Canada (excluding Quebec) – Completed Designated Financial Services Advisor (DFSA) designation.
• Quebec – Certificate of Achievement – Personal Finance (Quebec).
• 2–3 years of proven sales experience in the financial services industry, handling credit and investments.
• Demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships.
• Digital literacy across a broad range of devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops).

Responsibilities

• Consistently demonstrate empathy and understand client circumstances in interactions.
• Communicate needs to uncover client goals and deliver client-centric advice.
• Leverage RBC partners to meet clients’ financial needs across personal and business banking.
• Provide professional advice on credit and investments aligned to client financial situation.
• Educate clients about digital self-service while guiding them to interact via preferred channel.
• Use technology to connect with clients virtually and face-to-face.
• Build strategies to accelerate new client acquisition and retention locally.
• Collaborate with financial planning, mortgages, and business banking experts to deliver tailored advice.
