Vaco is seeking a detail-oriented cash operations specialist in the Greater Toronto Area to manage daily and monthly reconciliations, cash processing, and journal entries for investment funds. You will work with Yardi and Excel to maintain accurate ledgers and support audits.

The role emphasizes timely problem resolution, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams while handling multiple priorities. A discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in fund accounting, corporate accounting, or cash management.
• Hands-on experience with bank reconciliations, cash processing, journal entries, and GL accounting.
• Familiarity with accounting systems; Yardi is considered an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in financial transactions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to investigate discrepancies and resolve issues.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills; able to work independently or within a team.
• Knowledge of wire transfer procedures, payment controls, and audit documentation is an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsabilités

• Perform daily and monthly cash reconciliations for corporate and operating bank accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Prepare and reconcile credit facility schedules and monitor daily cash positions.
• Prepare and post journal entries for internally managed investment funds using the Yardi accounting system.
• Process mortgage-related wire transfers, invoices, and other cash transactions for investment entities.
• Calculate monthly dividend reinvestment plan (DRIP) amounts.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies and operational issues promptly.
• Establish and verify wire transfer templates for new vendors in line with controls.
• Compile and upload supporting documentation for audits.
• Collaborate with team members to improve operational efficiency and client service.
• Assist with special projects and other ad hoc assignments.

About the Opportunity

About You

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in fund accounting, corporate accounting, cash management, or financial operations, preferably within the financial services or investment management industry.
• Hands-on experience with bank reconciliations, cash processing, journal entries, and general ledger accounting.
• Familiarity with accounting systems; experience with Yardi is considered an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy when handling financial transactions and reconciliations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve issues effectively.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Pay Range

$32 - $36 / hour
