Job summary

Vaco Recruiter Services is seeking an experienced accounting professional in Mississauga to support month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The role requires CPA progression, strong Excel skills, and experience with ERP systems such as D365 F&O or VENA.

You will perform balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany postings, and budgeting/forecasting support while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
• Actively enrolled in CPA program.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience.
• Exposure to accounting software such as D365 F&O or VENA is a plus.
• Strong MS Excel skills.
• Familiarity with Power BI or TMS software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete TMS interface batch reconciliations and postings.
• Finalize month-end procedures: invoice postings, allocations, accruals, intercompany transactions.
• Develop checks-and-balances tools for month-end process to ensure reporting accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to obtain information and update month-end reporting.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations; analyze and resolve discrepancies; communicate findings.
• Reconcile data between billing systems and ERP to ensure integrity.
• Conduct financial analysis to support operations; participate in system implementations and process improvements.
• Assist with interim and year-end audit preparations.
• Support external reporting requirements and budgeting/forecasting processes.

Job description

About the Opportunity

• Complete TMS interface batch reconciliations and postings.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end procedures, including invoice posting, cost allocations, accruals, intercompany transactions, and other related activities.
• Assist in developing checks-and-balances tools within the month-end process to ensure reporting accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to obtain required information promptly and ensure updates are incorporated into month-end reporting procedures.
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations in a timely manner; analyze, investigate, and resolve discrepancies, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Perform reconciliations between various billing systems and the ERP to ensure data integrity.
• Conduct financial analysis to support ongoing financial operations. Participate in system implementation/migration and process-improvement projects.
• Assist with interim and year-end audit preparation.
• Support additional reporting requirements, including external customer reporting.
• Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting process

About You

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• Actively enrolled in CPA program
• At least 2-3 years of accounting experience
• Exposure to accounting software (D365 F&O, VENA, preferred but not required)
• Advanced computer skills in MS Office, Excel
• Experience with visualization tools (Power BI) or TMS software (TMW, Blue Yonder) considered an asset
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
• Quick learner with a continuous improvement mindset

Pay Range

$30– $32 /hour
