Job summary

Sureway Construction Group Ltd. in Edmonton, AB, is seeking a Field Technician HET On-Road to support on-site maintenance and repairs of heavy trucks and trailers.

You will operate from a service truck, perform preventative maintenance, and diagnose issues using hydraulic and electronic schematics. Responsibilities include on-call readiness for road emergencies, adherence to safety programs, and ensuring equipment meets high standards of performance.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson HET (Truck & Transport) ticket required.
• Experience with heavy trucks and trailers.
• Engine rebuild and performance software experience.
• Electrical/electronic and emissions knowledge beneficial.
• Ability to read hydraulic and electronic schematics.
• Strong organizational and cleanliness skills required.

Responsibilities

• Work out of a service truck to support field maintenance.
• On-call for road emergencies at night and/or weekends.
• Ensure equipment is maintained to the highest standards.
• Conduct performance and quality checks according to procedure.
• Perform preventative maintenance, repair, and overhauls.
• Promote and adhere to the company’s safety program.

Schedule 10+ Hours per day, 5 & 2, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week

Requirements

• Full Complement of Hand Tools
• Personal Reliable Vehicle
• CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support
• Valid Driver’s License

Pre-employment

• Drug and alcohol testing which may be swab or urine depending on site requirements
• Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation
• Fitness to Work Assessment

Field Technician HET On-Road

Qualifications

• Must be a Journeyperson HET (Truck and Transport)
• Experience working on heavy truck and trailers
• Engine Rebuild and Performance Software Experience is Required
• CVIP Certification is Beneficial
• Power Train Experience is Beneficial
• Experience with Electronics and Emissions is Beneficial
• Ability to read/troubleshoot and diagnose using hydraulic and electronic schematics
• Exceptional organization and cleanliness skills are REQUIRED
