ABB is seeking a field service professional for the Automation Process Industries, Mining and Materials in Sudbury, Ontario. The role involves executing service work, delivering quality customer service, and communicating service timelines to ensure client satisfaction.

Onsite work with 60-70% travel, supporting ABB MV/LV Drives, PLCs, and DCS systems. Strong English skills, valid driver’s license and passport required; French is a bonus.

Formación

• Hands-on experience servicing, maintaining, commissioning, and repairing medium-voltage (MV) equipment and other industrial systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline is an asset.
• Strong technical knowledge of industrial automation, software applications, and control systems; experience with ABB MV/LV Drives, PLCs, and DCS systems is an asset.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and ability to support complex industrial equipment in field environments.
• Excellent English communication skills, with a valid driver's license and passport, and willingness to travel extensively to customer sites (60-70%). French is a strong asset.

Responsabilidades

• Execute field service work safely, efficiently, and in accordance with customer requirements, quality standards, and agreed timelines.
• Provide an outstanding customer experience through clear communication, responsiveness, and a strong sense of urgency.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by communicating clearly, demonstrating urgency, and ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer operations, eliminate pain points, and communicate service growth opportunities to ABB account teams.
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical issues through remote and on-site support for certified products and service offerings.
• Plan and prepare service activities by securing the required materials, parts, tools, and equipment to achieve a first-time-right outcome.
• Drive continuous improvement by recommending corrective and preventive actions, improving work processes, and preparing accurate service documentation and customer reports.
• Promote ABB's safety culture while collaborating with customers and colleagues, reporting hazards, mentoring junior technicians and engineers, providing technical guidance, and delivering training when required.
