Job summary

REIC Rentals is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair heating, cooling, and power equipment at customer locations and branch facilities across Canada and the U.S. You’ll perform preventative maintenance and respond to service calls, ensuring fleet readiness and safety.

The role requires strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, heavy equipment experience, and a commitment to customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Field Service Technician, Heavy Equipment Technician, Diesel Mechanic, HVAC Technician, Industrial Mechanic, Agricultural Equipment Technician, Automotive Technician, or similar trade.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience servicing diesel engines, heating systems, generators, pumps, compressors, or industrial equipment is an asset.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Comfortable using laptops, mobile devices, and digital work order systems.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to tow equipment trailers when required.
• Commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair heating, cooling, and power equipment at customer locations and branch facilities.
• Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections to ensure fleet readiness.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fuel system issues.
• Respond to customer service calls and provide timely technical support.
• Train customers on the safe operation and basic maintenance of rental equipment.
• Complete service reports, inspection documentation, and work orders using company technology.
• Work closely with Operations and Sales teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Travel up to 50% throughout Canada and the U.S., supporting customers wherever they're working.
