Job summary

REIC Rentals is seeking a Field Service Technician to ensure heating, cooling, and power equipment operates safely and efficiently at customer sites. You will install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and document work orders using company technology.

Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, enjoy hands-on problem solving, and can travel across Canada with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Field Service Technician or similar trade.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel across Canada (overnights may be required).

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair heating, cooling, and power equipment at customer locations.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections to ensure fleet readiness.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fuel system issues.
• Respond to service calls and provide timely technical support.
• Train customers on safe operation and basic maintenance of rental equipment.
• Complete service reports and work orders using company technology.
• Collaborate with Operations and Sales to deliver excellent customer experience.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

What You'll Do

As a Field Service Technician, you'll work directly with customers to ensure our specialty heating, cooling, and power equipment is operating safely and efficiently.Your responsibilities will include:

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair heating, cooling, and power equipment at customer locations and branch facilities.
• Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections to ensure fleet readiness.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fuel system issues.
• Respond to customer service calls and provide timely technical support.
• Train customers on the safe operation and basic maintenance of rental equipment.
• Complete service reports, inspection documentation, and work orders using company technology.
• Work closely with Operations and Sales teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Significant travel (including overnights) throughout Canadasupporting customers wherever they're working.

Requirements

What You'll Bring

We're looking for mechanically inclined professionals who enjoy solving problems and delivering exceptional customer service.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a Field Service Technician, Heavy Equipment Technician, Diesel Mechanic, HVAC Technician, Industrial Mechanic, Agricultural Equipment Technician, Automotive Technician, or similar trade.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience servicing diesel engines, heating systems, generators, pumps, compressors, or industrial equipment is an asset.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Comfortable using laptops, mobile devices, and digital work order systems.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to tow equipment trailers when required.
• Commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices.
