IKO Industries Ltd. is seeking a Field Service Technician to support our commercial roofing and building envelope products in the Greater Toronto Area.

The role requires promoting products to contractors, conducting technical training, and performing QA inspections with occasional travel within the region. The successful candidate will have experience in commercial roofing applications, building envelope knowledge, and strong communication skills; MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint proficiency is

• Experience with the application of commercial roofing products is required.
• Experience with building-envelope products is an asset.
• Roofing or Construction degree is an asset.
• Experience with quality assurance inspections is an asset.
• Product sales or promotion experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with the commercial contracting community and perform quality assurance inspections of ongoing and completed sites.
• Prepare and conduct both theory and hands-on commercial product training for existing and potential Registered Contractors.
• Liaise with the contracting community and distribution network on product promotion and theory education.
• Produce written inspection and quality assurance reports for internal and external customers.
• Attend and participate in related association events to promote IKO Commercial products.

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Field Service Technician to join our commercial sales team of skilled professionals in the Greater Toronto Area.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting IKO Commercial Roofing and Building Envelope products to the Contracting Community. Also, responding to both internal and external customer inquiries on technical issues relating to commercial roofing and building envelope. This position will be based out of the Greater Toronto Area but will require some travel within the region.

• Roofing, Construction Technology or Construction degree is an asset.
• Experience with quality assurance inspections is an asset.
• Product sales or promotion experience is an asset.
• Excellent and communication and presentation skills.
• Must have a solid understanding and proficiently use MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to climb a ladder.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks while working independently.

Work Authorizations And Travel

• Must be authorized to work in the Canada
• Up to 80% travel may be required.
