Job summary

ChampionX, now part of SLB, is seeking a Field Service Technician for Lloydminster, Alberta. You will join a global technology company driving energy innovation and work on field service calls at customer sites, performing maintenance and repairs on oil lift drives and related equipment while ensuring safety and quality standards.

The role requires mechanical experience, blueprints literacy as a plus, and a valid Class 5 license.

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum experience in mechanical assembly and service.
• Experience with machinery and power tools.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean record.

Responsibilities

• Conducts field service calls at customer sites.
• Provides professional and timely service.
• Disassembles, inspects, and rebuilds equipment and related components.
• Assists in troubleshooting and failure analysis.
• Performs component testing and completes field service reports.
• Maintains and repairs equipment, tools, and company vehicles.

What You Will Do:

• Conducts field service calls as required
• Provides professional and timely service
• Disassembles, cleans, inspects, and rebuilds Oil Lift PCP drives and related equipment
• Assists in troubleshooting and failure analysis
• Performs component testing
• Completes field service reports
• Maintains and repairs equipment, tools and company vehicles

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Drug and alcohol testing
• Fitness-to-work testing
• Drivers’ abstract

Position Details:

• Working on customer sites, remote locations
• Permanent
• Full-time
• Mainly working day shift operations, with overtime as required
• Weekend or night shift may be required dependent on business conditions

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience working with mechanical assembly and service
• Experience working with machinery and power tools
• Class 5 driver’s license with a clean record

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to read blueprints
• Journeyperson mechanic/industrial mechanic ticket an asset
