Job summary

ChampionX in Bonnyville, AB is seeking a Mechanic/Millwright to support field and shop maintenance. You will work at the Bonnyville facility, customer sites, and remote locations, performing mechanical services, disassembly/reassembly, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal engine and compressor performance.

The role is permanent, full-time with day shifts and on-call rotations including weekends or nights. A minimum of 2 years in mechanical assembly and service is required, with assets for

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience with mechanical assembly and service.
• Experience with natural gas engines, wellheads, and compressors is an asset.
• Strong understanding of engine and compressor performance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field service calls as required.
• Provide mechanical services in field and shop environments.
• Provide professional and timely service.
• Disassemble, clean, inspect, and rebuild equipment.
• Assist in troubleshooting and failure analysis.
• Perform component testing.
• Complete field service reports.
• Maintain and repair equipment, tools, and company vehicles.

What You Will Do

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience working with mechanical assembly and service
• Experience with natural gas engines, wellheads, and compressors is an asset
• Strong understanding of engine and compressor performance and operations
• Experience working with machinery and power tools
• Class 5 driver’s license with a clean record

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints
• Journeyperson mechanic/millwright ticket is an asset
