Job summary

ChampionX, now part of SLB, is seeking an entry-level Production Laborer in Rockyview, AB (near Calgary). The role offers a 4-day workweek with 10-hour shifts and a focus on safety and quality. You will assist trades, move materials, and help maintain shop operations.

The position involves handling basic hand and power tools, supporting assembly and packaging, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing setting. Immigration sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist pipefitters, welders, electricians, assemblers, and other trades personnel with daily activities.
• Load, unload, move, and organize materials, components, and equipment throughout the facility.
• Prepare materials and parts for assembly and fabrication activities.
• Support shop operations by maintaining clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Operate hand tools and power tools under supervision.
• Assist with equipment assembly, disassembly, and packaging.
• Support shipping and receiving activities, including inventory movement and staging.
• Assist with lifting, positioning, and securing components during assembly operations.
• Participate in quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Follow all company procedures, safety requirements, and work instructions.

We are looking for a Production Laborer located in Rockyview, AB (near Calgary).

This is an entry level position.

What Will You Do:

• Candidate resides in Calgary, AB or nearby
• Work week and shift: 4 days/week (10-hour shifts)

• This is a safety-sensitive position, and the successful candidate will be required to complete drug and alcohol testing.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools
• Ability to work in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong commitment to safety and quality
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, warehouse, or industrial setting
• Forklift or overhead crane experience
• Experience working around industrial equipment and assemblies
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills
• Strong attendance and reliability
• Must have the ability to Lift/Push/Pull/Carry up to 55 pounds chest high.
• Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and perform physical work throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in shop and outdoor environments.
