Primary Purpose
This position is responsible for the safe operation, installation & Maintenance of bulk cryogenic and CO2 equipment located at Linde’s Customer locations throughout Western Canada (Vancouver, BC to Thunder Bay, ON).
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for the safe operation of the Field Services Technicians and Coordinators, located throughout the Region. Leading regular safety meetings and conducting training and job observations of all employees
- Promote a safety culture to help achieve 0 injuries & accidents for the Customer Service Team
- Overseeing and managing the Region’s technician hiring, training and compliance.
- Responsible for project planning and resource allocation, working with remote teams and personnel.
- Financial responsibility for the project margin ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting on actual revenue for each project and overall costs of the Region.
- Responsible for ensuring budget targets are met for the region.
- Work with sales personal on pre-sales tasks towards a successful contractual agreement.
- Develops mechanisms for tracking project progress and reporting to stakeholders.
- Work with management and clients to define and assess needs and recommend the appropriate service, including making site visits as required.
- Attends client project meetings as required
- Develop relationships with customers to promote sales and ensure compliance for billable CS related activities
- Manage project tasks with maintenance tasks to ensure smooth running of day-to-day activities.
- Ensure preventative maintenance is prioritized to achieve compliance targets
- Owner of productivity projects to reduce overall costs for the Customer Service operation

Required Qualifications
Education
·University degree/diploma or equivalent experience in the field of Construction Management, Engineering. Or related degree combined with industry experience.
Experience
·Preferred 3+ years of experience in Management in a relevant industry/Customer Service/Sales.
·Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related role with project management accountabilities.
·Knowledge of the financial methods and systems.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Excellent time management and work prioritization skills with an ability to effectively manage multiple high impact priorities.
- A proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Proficient knowledge of construction methods, systems & materials. Keeps current on changing technology/methods and industry practices through continuous learning.
- Practical understanding of engineering drawings and tenders/RFP’s.
- Ability to understand and interpret contract documents, Shop drawings, and Specifications. Be familiar with subcontractors contract including scopes of work, exclusions, clauses, and limitations.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to proficiently use e-mail, Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Project to communicate information effectively to management team, subcontractors and clients.
- Ability to instill Safety policies and implement procedures to ensure a safe workplace.
- Self-motivated, adaptable and good in teams.
