Job summary

Komatsu Canada is seeking a Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our Field Service team in Sparwood, BC. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems at customer sites, travelling up to 25% in Canada and the USA, in a 7x7 shift rotation.

Safety-sensitive role with rigorous testing and customer-facing duties. The ideal candidate holds or is eligible for Red Seal certification, has mining/construction experience, and benefits from our comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic or Millwright certification, Red Seal preferred.
• Mining or construction experience, 3–5 years ideal.
• Experience reading technical manuals and manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, service and inspect mining equipment on customer sites.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Test equipment after repairs and ensure safe performance.
