Job summary

Sandvik Group is seeking a licensed Heavy Duty Mechanic for Field Service across surface and underground mining environments in Central Canada. You will troubleshoot, repair, and commission equipment, with training and support from a global OEM network.

The role includes time on customer sites, travel across Canada, and a comprehensive benefits package. Steel your expertise while supporting safety and reliability in mining operations.

Qualifications

• Trade certification (Red Seal) is required at many sites and is an asset.
• 3+ years of related experience with heavy equipment.
• Mining equipment experience is an asset.
• Excellent proficiency in reading hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment to identify faults and malfunctions.
• Repair or replace defective parts, components or systems per the scope of work.
• Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Commissioning new equipment at customer sites.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and maintain accurate records.
• Stay current with industry developments and product knowledge.
