Job summary

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree or 2 years in electronics, biomedical tech, or military technical field.
  • Valid driver’s license; willing to drive and load/unload equipment.
  • Direct experience with Sysmex Hematology instruments desirable.
  • Prior field service or laboratory experience preferred.
  • Electronics, biomedical or laboratory science background.
  • Completion of Sysmex-certified instrument training.
  • Must have travel documents for USA training.
  • Strong command of English; French desirable.
  • Proficient in Windows and basic LIS knowledge.
  • Ability to explain technical information clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair Sysmex instruments and systems within assigned territory.
  • Identify and analyze instrument problems and repair to specifications.
  • Escalate issues to minimize downtime and document all service activities.
  • Schedule modifications per TSB and ECR processes.
  • Monitor communication devices during scheduled times and respond promptly.
  • Provide ownership of issues through to complete resolution at customer sites.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure total customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain parts inventory and service records; stay within guidelines.
  • Travel up to 75% within Canada; USA travel for training.
