Job Details
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Administer medications (IM, SC, and IV as applicable) in home or specialty clinic settings
  • Support and monitor administration of IV infusion treatments in the clinic and/or homecare setting
  • Monitor post-injection/infusion treatments, chart, and report all activities as directed by program protocols and standards of professional nursing documentation
  • Provide patient education based on program protocols, individually or in groups
  • Report adverse events, serious adverse events, and product complaints in accordance with Innomar training and policies & procedures
  • Ensure reliable availability based on the employment agreement to meet the needs of the IBU and the Nursing and Clinics KPIs
  • Coordinate daily with patients, case managers, physicians, scheduling, and other departments to meet established timelines for appointments, treatments, and communication
  • Perform administrative duties such as monthly clinic audits, supply ordering, and other tasks as assigned
  • Participate in team web-based meetings/training sessions with the Business Area Manager, RNE, and Nurse Champion to maintain and enhance professional practice standards
  • Participate in specialized client-related training as required
  • Consult with physicians, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology clients regarding education and implementation of product-specific programs
  • Travel within your designated IBU and surrounding IBUs to meet operational needs
  • Follow all nursing and clinic standard operating procedures and work instructions
  • Adhere to all health and safety standards as per provincial regulations
  • Complete ongoing and annual education training within the specified timeframes
  • Maintain professional nursing standards as prescribed by professional associations, regulatory bodies, and company policies
  • Perform related duties as required by Innomar
  • Be available on standby/on call if needed to meet service requirements
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Practical Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Experience with IV therapy is an asset
  • Diploma or university degree in nursing or related field
  • Current registration with provincial licensing body; CPR certification
  • Experience in acute care inpatient/outpatient or homecare setting
  • ACLS, PALS, MS, and CVAA certifications, and experience with central venous lines/ports are assets
  • Proficiency with cell phones for appointments and FAX machines
  • Excellent customer service skills in dealing with patients, physicians, and healthcare teams
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Ability to travel within a set geographical area
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Cell phone for scheduling and confirmations
  • Flexibility for pre-scheduled and last-minute appointments
  • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Valid, unrestricted driver’s license and insurance

The successful candidate may have daily contact with English-speaking customers, patients, or peers from cross-functional teams.
