Job Details

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer medications in the patient's home, specialty clinics, and Physician Partnership clinic settings.
  • Assess and monitor pre- and post-injection/infusion treatments as directed by program protocols.
  • Complete necessary documentation based on policies, procedures, and standards from the College of Nurses and Innomar ISO accreditation.
  • Provide patient and caregiver education based on product monographs and program protocols, individually or in groups.
  • Report adverse events, serious adverse events, and product complaints according to Innomar training and policies & procedures.
  • Ensure reliable availability to meet the needs of the IBU and the Nursing and Clinics KPIs, based on the employment agreement.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including case managers, physicians, pharmacy, scheduling, and other departments to meet timelines for appointments and treatments.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers to set up appointments and drug delivery to home and clinic.
  • Participate regularly in team web-based meetings and training sessions with the Business Area Manager, RNE, and Nurse Champion to maintain professional standards.
  • Participate in specialized client-related training as required.
  • Adhere to professional nursing standards as prescribed by professional associations and Innomar.
  • Work collaboratively within the healthcare team, providing oversight and delegation of applicable tasks to RPN/LPN as authorized by provincial nursing regulations.
  • Travel within your designated IBU and surrounding IBUs to meet operational needs.
  • Follow all nursing and clinic standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Follow all health and safety standards per provincial legislation.
  • Complete ongoing and annual education and training within the specified timeframes.
  • Perform other duties as required by Innomar.
  • May be required to be on standby or on-call to meet service needs.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Registered Nurse with relevant experience required.
  • Minimum 1 year experience with IV initiation.
  • Current registration with a licensing body; CPR certification.
  • Experience in critical care, emergency, acute care inpatient/outpatient, or homecare settings.
  • ACLS, PALS, MS, and CVAA certifications, and central venous line/port experience are assets.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook, Word, and other relevant computer applications.
  • Access to internet connection, cell phone for appointments and communication, and fax machine.
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Ability to travel within the designated geographical area.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical distribution industry is an asset.
  • Business and financial acumen are assets.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, interpersonal, leadership, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid, non-expired, unrestricted driver's license and insurance coverage.

Note: The successful candidate may have daily contact with unilingual English-speaking customers, patients, or peers from cross-functional teams.
