Job Details
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Administer medications in the patient's home, specialty clinics, and Physician Partnership clinic settings.
  • Assess and monitor pre and post-injection/infusion treatments as directed by program protocols.
  • Complete necessary documentation based on policies and procedures, and as directed by the College of Nurses and Innomar ISO accreditation standards.
  • Provide patient and caregiver education based on product monographs and program protocols, individually or in groups.
  • Report adverse events, serious adverse events, and product complaints in accordance with Innomar training and policies & procedures.
  • Ensure reliable availability based on the employment agreement to meet the needs of the IBU and the Nursing and clinics KPIs.
  • Communicate and work effectively with multidisciplinary teams including case managers, physicians, pharmacy, scheduling, and other departments to meet timelines for appointments and treatments.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers to set up appointments and manage drug delivery to home and clinic.
  • Participate in team web-based meetings and training sessions with the Business Area Manager, RNE, and Nurse Champion to maintain and enhance professional standards.
  • Participate in specialized client-related training as required.
  • Adhere to professional nursing standards as prescribed by professional associations and Innomar.
  • Work collaboratively within a healthcare team, providing oversight and delegation of tasks to RPN/LPN as authorized by provincial nursing colleges.
  • Travel within designated IBUs to meet operational needs.
  • Follow all nursing and clinic standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Follow all health and safety standards as per provincial legislation.
  • Complete ongoing and annual education training within specified timeframes.
  • Perform other duties as required by Innomar.
  • Be available on standby/on call if needed to meet service requirements.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Registered Nurse with relevant experience required.
  • One year of IV initiation experience preferred.
  • Current registration with a licensing body and CPR certification required.
  • Experience in critical care, emergency, acute care inpatient/outpatient, or homecare setting preferred.
  • ACLS, PALS, MS, and CVAA certifications, and central venous line/port experience are assets.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook, Word, and other computer programs.
  • Access to internet and cell phone for communication and appointment management.
  • Excellent customer service, communication skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel within the designated geographical area.
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution industry is an asset.
  • Business and financial acumen are assets.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Hold a valid, unrestricted driver’s license and insurance.

The successful candidate may have daily contact with unilingual English-speaking customers, patients, or peers from cross-functional teams.
